    Specifications

    We follow the specification laid down by the Bureau of Indian Standards as under:

    1) Dimensions:
    Malleable Cast Iron Pipe Fittings as per IS 1879/87, upto latest amendments.
    2) Material:
    Black Heart Malleable as per IS:14329/1995
    3) Threads:
    Threads as per IS:554:1975, and Gauges practise as per IS:8999 parallel female and taper male thread.
    4) Finish:
    Galvanized Finish tested in accordance with the provisions contained in IS:4759/1985, IS:6745, IS:2633 Black Fitting also available
    5) Pressure Test:
    The fittings are subject to a pressure test of an internal Hydraulic pressure of 2.1 Mpa i.e 21.2 Kg/Cm2 or 300 Lbs/Inch2
    6) Alignment:
    The angles of threads of fittings are 90º within a tolerance of ± 1/2%
    7) Compression Test:
    (a) Compression test of 5% is required for 1/2″ to 2″ pipe fittings
    (b) Compression test of 3% is required for pipe fittings above 2″ i.e 21/2″ to 6″
    8) Marking
    Each fitting is marked with our Trade Mark
